It’s been a long time goal of Tracey’s to run a dog in the double digit class at Champs but none of our previous dogs have ever made it there, for various reasons. This was Brooks’s final championships, so a bit of an emotional roller coaster – not our best performance on the big stage but filled with happy memories and gratitude.

Beyond that, we had a great time hanging out with friends we don’t see very often. Beezer was again “head cheerleader” for Brooks but had fun even though she wasn’t entered in the event. Brian made sure she had plenty of time playing frisbee and she got see her sister, who she liked much better than last year at Champs.
It wasn’t the best run Champs we’ve been to, due to the organizer getting sidelined with Covid. A lot more cases were reported during and after the event, but thankfully somehow we stayed virus-free.
Where We Stayed: Cam-plex – We made an exception to our ‘never park on grass’ rule (heavy vehicle + soft ground = $$tow truck bill$$) in order to avoid parking on red clay. Thankfully it didn’t rain so the ground didn’t swallow us whole. Usually, non-RV park campgrounds tend to have power and water issues, but surprisingly, we had no issues here (beyond those found on the agility course in the arena)
Where We Ate:
Mostly we made food and did a lot of grocery store runs. It’s Gillette – our choices for dining out were…. slim.
