As we start to blog about our Wandering, here is some history of how we got here. We were casual RVers, taking our RV on vacations, to motorcycle Rally’s to the Indy 500, hunting, and to dog shows until we moved to Delaware and sold our Alpine Diesel Pusher in 2014.

Almost immediately after selling our RV Tracey and I alternated in having moments of longing for a new RV. Each time one of us voiced the desire for an RV, the other one of us would be the voice of reason, remembering the cost and work involved in RV ownership.
Then in November of 2018, at the same moment, we both decided we wanted an RV. We started to shop for RV’s and found an RV that we loved. The day before Christmas Eve, we made an offer on a Winnebago Sightseer that was not accepted. The moment passed and we looked casually for the next several months.

In March of 2019, the RV that we initially made an offer on was reduced in price, coincidentally to the exact amount we offered four months ago. After evaluating 3 other RV’s, we purchased Alice, a 34’ gas 2011
Winnebago Sightseer 33C, today and the journey begins.
We had some doubts, if buying an RV was the right move, but we received a sign that is the right decision. While unpacking supplies from the RV we sold in 2014, I heard a loose piece of metal jingling in the bottom of one of the boxes. Upon investigation, I found my wedding ring that I had lost 5 years ago. Apparently, it fell in the box while we packed supplies from our Alpine. We believe that our dear departed friend, who always wanted us to RV, was sending us a sign. Dave, you are with us on our journey.
