As we prepare to hit the road, we needed a vehicle that we could tow with all four wheels on the ground, known in the RVing community as a “toad”. We had been looking for vehicles for a while. I was driving back to Delaware from NY, where I had been visiting my parents. At 7:30, while driving, I was talking to Tracey on the phone and she mentioned that the Jeep dealer in downtown Philly had the Wrangler we were interested in and they were open until 9 PM.
As Philly was not too far out of my way, I re-routed and arrived at the dealer at about 8:15. I test drove a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with a manual transmission that was priced to sell.
While I had no checkbook or insurance, I recall that in our earlier conversation, I had “authorization” to trade in the car. While I am not sure how I made it work, I arrived home at about 11:30 PM in our new Wrangler.

This reminds me of how after we got married and moved from New York City to the suburbs, we went to buy a car. Somehow, we never made it to a car dealer but Tracey came home with a less practical, but cool, motorcycle. But that story is for another time.
For those who still didn’t figure out the vehicle naming convention, our WiFi network name is Wonderland.
